Zillow is predicting that Austin will be the hottest real estate market in 2020. That’s good news, and that’s bad news.
So the good news is, Hey, if you’re thinking about selling your home, your home has never been worth more than it is right now. Prices continue to go up. It’s not so much Austin as it is Williamson County, north of Austin: Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Liberty Hill. Those are the hottest areas.
The bad news? Affordability. It is getting much more difficult for the people that have lived here quite some time to be able to afford their next home. Then also, property taxes keeps going up. 2020 is going to be more difficult for home buyers.
So that’s the price to pay when you’re in the hottest real estate market in the United States.
