Real estate investors love Austin.  There’s a good reason.  Over the last 25 years Austin home prices have grown 368%.  That’s a return of 14.72% per year.

I’m an Austin Real Estate Broker and have witnessed this phenomenal growth.  But don’t just take my word for it.  CNBC.com wrote an article about a SmartAsset study that ranked large U.S. Metro Markets by their growth in value over time.

Of the top 15 markets, the top 10 were dominated my Texas Metro areas.  Coming in Number One was the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown MSA.  That’s no surprise since our area is growing by 115 new people every day. Austin is an investors delight.

What’s the main driver of this growth? It’s simply supply VS demand.  We have such a low inventory of homes for sale compared to the large number of buyers wanting to buy in Austin and its suburbs. Other factors include strong job growth, new businesses starting up, and large tech companies relocating here.
