A recent article on Culture Map referred to a study by the real estate platform Open Door that noted Leander, Texas as the second hottest suburb for U.S. Homebuyers. It’s an up and coming city just 30 miles from downtown Austin. Many people live here and commute to Austin daily.
Leander is mostly a bedroom community with small town charm. Shopping and restaurants are somewhat scarce but that’s changing quickly.
I am a real estate broker and I live and work in Leander. I also serve the nearby Austin suburbs of Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Georgetown, and North Austin.
Below is a map of the awarding winning Leander Independent School District.
Among Open Door’s list of most popular U.S. zip codes, Leander ranks #2. That’s not surprising to me as I get calls, texts, and emails almost every day from people interested in moving here.
