One of my favorite things to do around Cedar Park, TX is visit the wineries in the Texas Hill Country. Since moving here in 2014 I’ve enjoyed some of the best wines Texas has to offer.
Perissos Vinyard and Winery in Burnet, Texas is a mere 45 minutes away. It’s a beautiful drive from Cedar Park through the Hill Country. You’ll get to see some great Texas ranches along the way with views of livestock like Cattle, goats, and sheep.
The Vines were brown because we had just experienced some freezing temperatures, but it was a beautiful December day. Every Saturday live music is offered. So, it was great to sit outside enjoying a glass of the 2015 Serendipity (Texas High Plains) while munching on cheese, crackers, and fruit.
Inside is a nice seated area where you can enjoy a wine tasting. Large glass windows provide an open view to large barrels filled with good wine.
An added treat is a variety of flavored balsamic vinegar. Perfect for adding to a nice salad.
You’ll enjoy living in Cedar Park and all the wineries nearby.
