If a recession is coming in 2020, it’s best to live in one of these Texas Cities.
A study just released notes the three most recession proof cities in the U.S. are actually in North Texas. Namely, Plano, Denton, and Frisco. But also among the top 10 recession proof cities in is Austin, and that’s where I live. Actually, Cedar Park, just north of Austin City limits.
What’s the concern about recession? So when a recession hits, people get laid off. They lose their jobs, they lose their income. When they lose their income, they can’t make their mortgage payments; when they can’t make their mortgage payments they get foreclosed on.
Right now, I’m brushing up on my short sale expertise and experience to be able to help people that might find themselves in that situation. Recessions cause real estate prices to fall. Some people will find that they owe more than their home is worth, making it impossible to sell at retail prices. A short sale may be the answer.
A short sale is when the lender agrees to accept less that what’s owed on the mortgage. An experienced real estate agent can help you navigate the process.
