Waiting lists are now common on new construction. Yet, I am helping buyers find homes. Here’s my best advice.
I called on one of our local new home communities this week. They are completely sold out of inventory homes and new lots won’t be released until next month. Currently, they have a waiting list of 435 interested buyers and will only be releasing 4 lots per month.
Another builder is allowing buyers to bid against each other with new lots become available.
In the resale market homes are selling within hours amidst multiple offers. Buyers are bidding up to 20% over asking price in some situations.
